Bartus Allen’s Biography

Bartus Allen L.Ac., for many years have been an accomplished individual in art. He has been fortunate to live in California, the Mid-West, and Paris. In his travels, he was able to fine tune his skills in the visual arts. Traveling to South America, Europe, and the Caribbean has helped him to embrace a holistic philosophy and a sense of oneness.

Born and raised in New York, his parents and 10 siblings bestow the gift of family and self-awareness. Bartus had encountered a personal experience with his father’s health, several years ago; which has changed his life. He decided to enroll at the Ohashi Institute in 1995. The Ohashi Institute was founded in 1977 and is devoted to the development and education of Shiatsu. Shiatsu may be defined as a method of therapy that cures illness and promotes good health through the patients exchange of energy with nature, which takes place through a healer who is in sympathy with the patients response to the applied pressure.

After finishing the program in 1997, he completed his education in the Ohashi’s Instructor program. In 2005, he graduated with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Florida, and is license in Connecticut. Five Element Acupuncture is a powerful and effective form of medical treatment which originated thousands of year ago. Having the responsibility of an artist and healer, my goal is to provide multiple possibilities to what may seem like a one-dimensional problem. With a keen eye, I see people not only as how they present themselves in illness, but more importantly as they would be in perfect health and balance, in full discovery of their true nature, unique in both, mind and spirit. Humanities creative soul resembles a flourish garden; with the proper sunlight, nourishment, and compassion; it will inspire incredible masterpieces. He is also a certified herbalist from East West School of Herbology and Qi Gong Instructor from the Da Dao Chan Gong Center and certified children yoga instructor from Asana Alphabet. Bartus is proud to be a member of the NADA ( National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol. Bartus is a license massage therapist in Puerto Rico.  Completed a 24 hour seminar in Brain Gym.  He is a certified practitioner of the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia ( AOBTA), and completed a certification program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, called ” Acupuncture for the Cancer Patient.”
